Loftus History
Sword Dancers
I wonder if you can help me please, I am currently the Hon. President of Goathland Plough Stots. We have lots of photographs, sound recordings & ephemera from the many teams that existed within East Cleveland & the wider Whitby area, all of which has been donated or collected, / researched to ensure it is not cast away. I am aware of the existence of a photograph which showed the swastikas painted on the door(s) of houses in the village who’s occupants travelled to Munich in 1936 to sword dance. Does anybody in the group know where I might get a copy & perhaps material which relates to the trip or indeed anything they may be able to share or donate copies to the Sword Dance Archive.
