Muriel & Will Jacklin, Muriel was born in Lingdale, her parents were Joseph and Elizabeth Pearson, residing at 30 High Street. They had a Sunday newspaper business, selling from their house. George Wedgewood who owned the village taxi business would take paper sellers to other villages. even as far as Moorsholm. Will was born in Lingdale, his parents lived at 50 Dixon Street. Will worked in the mines most of his life. Muriel worked at the shirt factory in Guisborough.
